I went to Floors for Living after reading some reviews and receiving several inflated quotes for remodeling my staircase.
David,the manager at the Barker Cypress store, was most welcoming and listened intently to my fruitless efforts. He is extremely friendly guy and, very knowledgeable and experienced in so far as floors are concerned. He came to my house the same day took, brought some samples took measurements and made several cost-saving recommendations. Unlike other vendors, David did not pressure me to buy but rather requested that I compare his and quotes from others. He was right:Floors for Living have the best prices.
I am satisfied with the quality of work done the price and the great inputs from David.I strongly recommend trying out David's service. I promise you will look no further and you will be wowed. I will be using same service for my tiles as well. David you rock!

Everyone at Floors for Living (Barker Cypress location) was wonderful! The manager and salesmen were very patient with me as I took home numerous samples, on multiple occasions, over a period of 2 months! lol. When I finally made my decision, the pricing and service was perfect. The installers finished ahead of schedule and were careful to leave my home just as they found it… except my new beautiful floors, of course!

All the staff at the Barker Cypress location were very kind to me. I was looking for a floor that I had already found at another store, but it would take between 5 and 7 days to arrive. The staff at Floor for living got it for me in just 3 days and matched the price. They truly helped me a lot with my project. I highly recommend , the flooring—it’s beautiful.

We recently had tile floors installed by Floors for Living, and we couldn't be happier with the entire experience. From the very beginning, David was incredibly helpful, meeting with my wife and me to assist us in selecting the perfect flooring. He was attentive, patient, and took the time to thoroughly explain the installation process, which made us feel confident and informed throughout.
Originally, we only planned to install tile in certain areas, but David pointed out that by completing the master bedroom at the same time, we could avoid having to deal with the dust and disruption all over again later. We appreciated his insight and are glad we followed his advice.
Overall, the process was smooth, the quality of work is excellent, and our new floors look amazing. I would definitely recommend Floors for Living to my family and friends!

We enjoyed the entire process. Thomas Essick came to our home and measured our home. Then he made a quote that was fair and beat our quite from another company. The install took 5 days which was 2 days less than the estimated the time to complete the work. The installers cleaned the house before leaving. The floors look great. The manager of the store is David and he also was very helpful during the process.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Floors for Living on a major Level 2 project involving the complete remodeling of the entire upstairs floors, the back staircase, and the front staircase. Let me tell you, I am beyond thrilled with how everything turned out. The whole team was just amazing, and they made sure every little detail was spot on.
We kicked off the project in phases, starting with the carpet installation. Then, we moved on to the vinyl in the art room, followed by the tile risers on the front staircase, followed by the treads. Despite the complexity of the job, the process was smooth and organized.
Customer service was exceptional throughout. David Gutierrez, the store manager, was an absolute gem! No matter the hour, he was always responsive and ready to find solutions to any challenges that came up. His dedication to making sure I was happy was truly impressive. Whenever anything needed adjustment, approval, or validation, David didn't hesitate to reach out to the District Manager, Josh Whaley, for consultation and collaboration. Josh contacted my husband to ensure things were aligned, as well. Their teamwork ensured that everything was met, done, and that we were satisfied. It's rare to find that level of commitment, and it made the whole experience stress-free because of their transparency.
The installation crews were extremely professional, respectful, and clean. They didn't hesitate to ask questions if they needed to know something or if they thought something might not appear or work correctly. We made decisions together, consulting David back and forth to ensure we were aligned. These are the attention to details and quality of service I had hoped for, and they delivered.
One of the coolest surprises was the addition of bullnose to the back stairs. They were originally designed without it, but the team went ahead and added it, and truly WOW, it really elevated the classiness of the staircase. It's those little touches that show just how creative and experienced these guys are in their crafts.
Michael, the Daltile Manager, and Jennifer N., Daltile Designer (fabulous teamwork & great style!), managed everything tip-top through video and text, without having to visit the house. They made everything perfect, proving that decisions and management can be handled virtually. They provided swift and simple opinions and solutions, removing the thinking part for me, which is a blessing. When I was too picky or needed specifics to something more in depth, David made sure to throw lifelines my way, which was refreshing to see the extended hand between companies sharing customers but trusting each other to do whatever it took to make the end great.
I also appreciated how flexible they were with product selection and working within my budget. Even though the project took longer than expected (due to my planning, the unforeseen (another) freeze, and working around Thanksgiving, and Christmas/New Year's holidays), the team was super patient and understanding with my schedule requests, making sure these factors didn't impact the quality of the work. The outcome made it all worth it, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
The transparency and ability to conveniently communicate made this project pleasant and well worth the time it took to complete. If you're considering any flooring needs, I highly recommend Floors for Living. Their professionalism, expertise, and dedication to making customers happy are truly unmatched. Pics shared, but note the touch up painting and such are still needed on my end, but for purpose of sharing the incredible job, went ahead and posted before we finish up minor aesthetics and bottom step tread refinish. They made this whole experience stellar, and I couldn't be happier with the results!
