First, by using virgin vinyl that doesn’t release harmful volatile organic compounds (VOC). The big box stores will take the lowest grade 6 mil (amount of protective finish) product and choose a deceptive name like LifeProof. That same product will have warranty exclusions from damage caused by abuse, flooding, spills, scratches, abrasive scouring pads, scuffing, staining, construction or installation.
