Luxury vinyl is a good choice for your family and the environment

Today’s consumers are increasingly interested in eco-friendly flooring. The new LVT and LVP flooring products address these concerns in a number of ways. First, by using virgin vinyl that doesn’t release harmful volatile organic compounds (VOC). Second, luxury vinyl can be installed using adhesives without fumes, and some can be installed without any adhesive at all. Finally, the products are durable and have a timeless look so they’ll last for decades and not end up in a landfill as quickly.

The difference and performance of luxury vinyl are larger here than in any other flooring category. The way it is manufactured results in a range of quality from terrible to amazing. The big box stores will take the lowest grade 6 mil (amount of protective finish) product and choose a deceptive name like LifeProof. That same product will have warranty exclusions from damage caused by abuse, flooding, spills, scratches, abrasive scouring pads, scuffing, staining, construction or installation.
